How is Laparoscopy surgery performed at Pranav Med Hospital?
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon begins by making small incisions in the abdominal area to insert a
laparoscope and other necessary instruments. A tube and light source are also introduced through these incisions. Gas is then pumped into
the abdomen to create a larger working space. The surgeon carries out the procedure while viewing the inside of the abdomen on a video monitor,
using specialized instruments. Once the surgery is complete, the gas and instruments are removed, and the incisions are stitched up.
A dressing is applied to the incision sites. Typically, patients are discharged the same day, though in some cases, an overnight stay for
observation may be required.
